The Harlaxton State Primary School community would like to extend a welcome to you and your children as you consider enrolment in our wonderful school. Enrolling at our school is a simple and supportive process designed to help families feel welcome and well-informed. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to visit the school office to collect or submit an enrolment package, which includes all necessary forms and important information about our programs, policies, and expectations.
Children are able to enrol in our Prep provided they will turn 5 by the 30th June in the year of Prep. Children entering our school in Year 1 must turn 6 during their Year 1 year. To determine when your child can commence their preparatory year, use the
prep ready reckoner calculator.
How to enroll
Please contact the office and collect an enrollment package and return completed documents to the office. Please ensure all required documents are provided, including proof of the child’s age (such as a birth certificate), proof of address, and any relevant medical or custody documents. These documents help us ensure a smooth transition and provide the best possible support for each student from their first day at school.
If you are enrolling from another Queensland State School we will require the name of the school and the name and date of birth of the student/s. Parents enrolling students from interstate will need to provide details of their last enrolment in order for Harlaxton staff to make contact with the school. Due to our flexible class structures, your child’s first day at the school may be spent in assessment and building friendships.
For individual agreement forms, please refer to the
Enrolment Folder for all required documents and information.
