Harlaxton State Schools draws its students from a large residential catchment area in North Toowoomba. A bus service from the Harlaxton area north of the rail line delivers students to school at approximately 7.55 am each morning. Families can apply for a transport card and students are delivered free (subject to not losing the card) to and from the school. The students are supervised by a staff member when catching the bus home.
If delivering students to school by car there is parking space outside the school (on Ruthven Street) to drop off and collect students. Students can also be collected by parents in Troy Street and Lemnos Street. It is important that all traffic signs are adhered to and that no child leaves the school ground to wait outside the gates for parent/carers. Any student who has not been collected by their parent or is unsure of how they are getting home must report to the school office.
