Welcome back to school Prep & Year 1 students. Prep students will enter and leave via the Lemons Street gate. Year 1 students will enter through the Troy Street gate. Staff will be at each gate to welcome students back on campus.
Parents are asked to say good bye to students at the gate at 8:25am and meet the at the same gate at 2:30pm.

Housekeeping Items
Mrs O’May is working from home and Mrs Giaimo will be taking her Year 1 students until she returns in a couple of weeks. We welcome Ms Klimkowtiz to the Year 1 class for this term as Mrs Steger is teaching EALD at Wilsonton High. It is anticipated that Mrs Breeze will return in Term 3 and team teach with Ms K.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions each child will receive a named large drink bottle courtesy of Bunnings and this will be filled often and kept at school. This is measure is part of the increased hygiene and cleaning guidelines set by government for the return to school and implemented at this school. Bunnings have also donated pencil cases and basic writing items with the hard copy learning documents. Please name and bring these back to school on your return. We thank Ms MacFarlane for organising these things.Music and HPE lessons will restart this week.

All Year 2-6 students will continue Learning @Home with the learning materials prepared and delivered online or by hard copy. If learning by hard copy please remember to bring these finished items back to school on your return. Teachers are able to view online work every day and are emailing and chatting to students who are working online. An announcement on the return date for Year 2-6 will be made, in the media, on 15 May. Thank you to you, our parents, for putting in a great effort on helping your children with their learning. It is looking promising that we might be back to normal by the end of May.

Please continue to remember:
During this period, all students who are able to be supervised and learn from home are to stay at home, except for vulnerable students, children of essential workers and students in designated Indigenous communities.
If you have any questions regarding the learning@home plan from Harlaxton State School, please email admin@harlaxtonss.eq.edu.au or call the school on 46399111 after 8:30am. Teachers are available for phone calls every school day of the week to answer questions from the families.

Parent –Teacher Interviews
During the last weeks teachers have been doing our usual Term 2 Parent-Teacher interviews however they have been done by phone. There are still a few families to be contacted and this will happen this week. Thank you for your time to discuss your child and their learning journey.

Education TV
The television channels 2,7 and 9 are broadcasting educational programs every week day. Please see the outlines below. This may be helpful if you have more than 1 children sharing a device.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these uncertain times. We are all in this together and work together. Stay safe and healthy and remember handwashing is 20 secs.
Have a great week.
