On Tuesday our school students, staff and Harlaxton community attended our ANZAC service where our school captains, Chloe and Charlie, along with Ternisha and Christopher, very capably led our service. A special thank you to Mr Mike Gowdie, our local RSL sub-branch member, for his always interesting talk and attendance. Chloe and Charlie also attended the Toowoomba Memorial Service with Mrs Lester where they laid the wreath from our school.
All students received a button badge kindly donated by local firm “Recognition Plus”. We proudly wore those on the day to represent the contribution by Australian school children who sold buttons to raise money to rebuild the destroyed school in the French village of Villers-Bretonneux during World War I.
